TEAM SPORT - Water Polo is a fantastic team sport. It is a fun and exciting game with lots of challenges. Water polo is a professional sport in Europe and the oldest Olympic Team Sport.

PLAYERS - Players are fit and skillful. they learn water polo skills, ball control skills, co-ordination and develop great stamina. Players learn team tactics and how to work together.

THE GAME - The game is played in a deep section of the pool. There are up to

13 in a team with only 7 on, playing 4 x 8 min. The attacking team tries to shoot a goal past the keeper. The defending team tries to stop their opposition from scoring a goal or passing well.

Our Mission :

The Sunshine Coast Water Polo Association will coordinate the promotion and development of water polo at all levels in the region and coordinate quality facilities and programs to encourage good fellowship.

At the moment Sunshine Coast clubs are holding a ‘Welcome to Water Polo’ program for all juniors (10-13years)  interested in becoming water polo players.  These are being held at Caloundra, Kawana, Noosa and Maroochydore pools.  For more information click on the Club which is most relevant to you.
